Stella Polaris opened their little theatre, retreat, and workshop centre in 2010, in the small and charming village Magyarlukafa, situated in the middle of Europe, in the south eastern Hungary. The closest town is Szigetvar, and in 40 minutes by car, you are in the beautiful city Pecs.

This is a quiet place for contemplation and inspiration. The venue is suited for producing small performances, musical projects, and workshops.

The building is an old barn that has been renovated. It consists of a large hall (1.000 square ft, 20 ft ceiling) with wooden floors, a fully equipped kitchen, showers, toilets, and accomodations.

VENDELDAY

Vendelday, the annual festival for Saint Vendel, is celebrated in Magyarlukafa. 6.000 people visit the festival to buy local craftsmanship, experience folk music, dance, puppet shows, and other kinds of entertainment. Stella Polaris usually participate in the festival.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Budapest to Szentlörinc, you can take a train and we will pick you up at the station. It is also possible to rent a car at the airport in Budapest.
